Label affixed to reverse of frame notes the photo is a still from the 1930s movie, Puttin' on Your Top Hat (a/k/a Top Hat). Additionally, on the label, there is a handwritten note ”Kenneth Rendell.” Kenneth Rendell Galleries was a purveyor of signed historical artifacts on Manhattan's Upper East Side for many years prior to its closing in the 2000s.
