Victorian Tunbridge Ware Marquetry Wood Table Box - Item/Description: Document box lined with decorative paper. Fashioned from mixed woods including rosewood, walnut. Exterior decorated with beautifully inlaid geometric parquetry in colorful hues. Masterful craftsmanship. Hinged lid, Key hole with key included as shown. Interior covered with colorful antique paper liner. Material: Mixed woods, paint, metal, paper Dimensions: Length: 10”; Width: 6 1/2”; Height: 4 1/4” Condition: Surface scratches and wear. Chipping. Some loss to paper lining. Exterior key plate missing as is internal cylinder tumbler. Key can be inserted and turned, but box currently does not lock. Bend to key.
