Arts & Crafts Hand-Carved Wood Folk Art Box - Item/Description: Antique handmade hand-carved primitive wooden Folk Art wooden storage/desk box. Sliding lid attached with a wide nail and end-plate. Fantastic carving woodwork. Sanded, polished oak. Double compartment base. Studio artisan wood sculpture. No maker's mark, though underside edge appears to have three carved initials, markings in vertical fashion; one appears to be a capital letter T. Material: Oak Dimensions: Length: 7 1/2”; Width: 4”; Height: 2 3/4” Condition: Good. Hardware intact. Lid moves smoothly back and forth. Signs of age, use and wear including scratches, scuffs, nicks, gauges, fissures; lid does not uniformly contact base along rim when in closed position.
