David MacDonald (American, b. 1945) has been throwing pottery for 4 decades. Heavily influenced by the Civil Rights Movement and his African American Heritage. MacDonald taught at the School of Art and Design at Syracuse University. His work is in the permanent collections of the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York, The Mountclair Art Museum in Montclair, New Jersey, and the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York.
