Bertil Vallien Kosta Boda Glass Sculpture - Item/Description: Artist signed, hand-crafted, art glass sculpture by Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda. It was part of the Viewpoints series Vallien designed for Kosta Boda in 1995. Entitled the ”Reflection Sculpture, ” it features two figures in cobalt blue standing next to each other than can be viewed from all angles of the glass block prism. The triangular construction is a tour de force of design with its rounded edges and wavy frosted glass panel. Etched hallmark and serial number to base: Kosta Boda B. Vallien 99519, and manufacturer sticker on bottom left. The sculpture stands on a laminate presentation base with a label adhered to bottom picturing the artist and a description of the piece in Swedish and English. Erik Bertil Vallien (Swedish, b. 1938) is a considered one of the most celebrated and distinguished glass artists and designer in Sweden.
