Largest stein is a 2L stein marked 1097 Germany on bottom. Signed ”KB” by Anton Killian ”Karl” Beuler (German, 1865-1928). Titled ”Meadow Rose, ” the stein depicts a man and woman in a flower garden by a tower, and features an intricately sculpted vine-like pattern on the handle. Text is from a poem called ”Heidenroslein” meaning ”Little Meadow Rose, ” written in 1773 by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Smallest stein marked ”Feierabend” or ”Quitting time” depicts an end of work day gathering with music. Includes stein marked #249 Made in Germany on the bottom depicts a tavern scene.
