1950s Bisque Ceramic Teddy Bear Cookie Jar - Item/Description: Vintage American Bisque Company ceramic teddy bear cookie jar, produced in the 1950s. It is a popular collectible known for its hand-painted details and mid-century kitsch style. The bear is wearing blue overalls and features rouged cheeks and black eyeliner, characteristic of the anthropomorphic designs popular at the time. The head acts as a lift-up lid. American Bisque Company, which was founded in 1919 in Williamstown, West Virginia, and operated until 1983.
