French Cinema Commemorative Bronze Medal - Item/Description: Bronze commemorative medal from France titled ”Medaille de table cinema francais” (French Cinema Table Medal), produced by the Monnaie de Paris (Paris Mint). It was designed by the artist Georges Contaux (French, 1901-1989) in a classical, high-relief style. The design depicts three figures representing various aspects of film and theater: a nude male figure, a seated figure holding a film projector (implied by the light beam), and a female figure holding a dramatic mask. This medal functions as a collectible piece to commemorate French cinema, likely issued as an award or souvenir during the mid-20th century. Includes original red medallion box.
