German Schultz & Dooley Character Beer Stein - Item/Description: German Schultz and Dooley ”Schultz” character beer stein made for the West End Brewing Company's Utica Club beer brand. These novelty steins were originally created for the brand's popular 1960s television advertising campaigns. This stein features a unique, character-based design with an animated face, mustache, nose integrated into the hinged ceramic lid and body, with blue floral accents. The stein is made of ceramic with a pewter hinge and is marked ”Made in Germany.”The Schultz & Dooley character beer steins were created through a collaboration between an American advertising agency and a renowned puppeteer to serve as ”spokesmugs” for Utica Club beer. This functional piece of breweriana is a unique collectible item commemorating the classic advertising campaign.
