These pieces are made in the classic Majolica style using earthenware with a vibrant, high-gloss green glaze. The design is characterized by an intricate, high-relief (raised) motif of grapes and grapevine leaves, which was popular during its production era that extended through the mid-20th century, specifically the late 1970s. It is used as a traditional pitcher for serving liquids or as a decorative piece of English pottery. Underside marked Wedgwood Made in England of Etruria & Barlaston.
