Wedgwood Queensware Embossed Ivy Bowl - Item/Description: Wedgwood Queensware bowl, manufactured in England during the mid-20th century. Underside marked ”Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, Made in England, Embossed Queen's Ware, ” which became the standard mark for the company between 1940-1962. It is made of ”creamware, ” a durable earthenware glazed in a soft, matte ”Wedgewood Grey” color with a distinctive raised, embossed white grapevine pattern encircling the rim. This neoclassical or traditional English style was very popular and produced in many forms, including serving bowls, cereal bowls, and plates, often featuring a smooth or plain edge. This versatile bowl can be used for salad, side dishes or fruit, and is a classic piece of vintage English dinnerware.
