Qing Dragon Medallion Porcelain Plate - Item/Description: Two antique Chinese porcelain plates from the Daoguang period of the Qing dynasty in the 19th century named after Emperor Daoguang who reigned from 1821-1850. The plate features four main roundels with a design often identified as dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl, a common Chinese motif symbolizing power and prosperity. These designs are rendered in a vibrant green enamel with orange/iron-red accents. Verso marked with Qing pottery makers mark and a post 1949 People's Republic of China export approval seal.
