Qing Prunus Blossom Blue & White Ginger Jar - Item/Description: Lidded blue and white ginger jar is a classic Chinese decorative ceramic vessel, originating from ancient China (Qin Dynasty) as a container for spices like ginger, known for its distinctive cobalt blue patterns on a white porcelain body. Made of porcelain with a cracked ice blue background with a white floral design of prunus blossoms. This design was popular during the Kangxi period (1662–1722) of the Qing dynasty, and was highly sought after in Europe, particularly in the late 1800s.
