APCO produced its popular line of figural ceramic cookie jars, including the highly collectible ”Lamb in Overalls” and ”Wooly Baby Lamb” designs, primarily during its manufacturing heyday from the early 1940s through the late 1950s. The cookie jar is designed in a charming, anthropomorphic figural style, depicting a lamb sitting upright and wearing a pair of overalls with a bow tie. It typically features a creamy white glaze with hand-painted red and black details and functions as a decorative container for storing cookies, representing a classic piece of mid-20th-century American kitchenware.
