Vintage Airline Plane Playing Cards - Pan Am - Item/Description: Vintage collection of airline playing cards, primarily from major US carriers that were operational in the mid-to-late 20th century. These were often distributed to passengers as complimentary in-flight entertainment during what is often referred to as the ”Golden Age of Air Travel, ” before deregulation in 1978 led to reduced amenities. Many decks are labeled as ”Bridge Size, ” a common standard for playing cards designed for smaller hands or card tables. The graphic designs reflect the branding styles of the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s, including retro logos and abstract patterns. Airlines in the Collection include Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Pan Am (Pan American World Airways), Continental Airlines, Aeromexico, and TWA (Trans World Airlines), and National Airlines.
