Louis Vuitton LV Monogram Suitcase Pair - Item/Description: This vintage luggage suitcase duo by luxury French design house, Luis Vuitton was gleaned from the same estate. Belonging to a husband and wife, the brown cases are monogrammed in gilt lettering: the smaller F.L.R. and the larger, J.F.R. Each bag has the iconic and immediately recognizable LV logo pattern canvas. Exclusively and skillfully crafted from a cotton base coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to provide water resistance and durability. Soft, buttery vachetta (untreated, vegetable-tanned) leather sides, handle and trim contrast distinctly to the canvas and over time has developed a natural patina. Both have brown cotton interiors with double pockets and double straps. The smaller bag has a dark brown cotton interior. It bears a stitched leather framed label that reads: Louis Vuitton Paris, France. Manufactured by the French Co. U.S.A. Under Special License. The two piece zipper is made by TALON with a locking latch mechanism which clicks into a brass plate with push button release. The attached LV luggage tag is triangular shaped with a visible address plate, attached to the handle by a buckled leather strap. The larger bag has a lighter brown interior. The the zipper is made by YKK. The attached LV luggage tag is an arched rectangle with hidden address plate, attached to the handle by a buckled leather strap. Handles are sturdy. Fabrics are intact and free of rips, tears or repair. Zippers close and open freely. Signs of age use and wear include heavy scuffing, scratches, abrasions to corner edges, staining, pen mark to leather exterior. Missing latch mechanism to larger case, but case remains closed with zipper. Keys missing to both cases. Several spots/marks on interiors of each. In larger case one interior pocket has lost its elasticity and there is no Louis Vuitton interior label.
