Mid-20th century, circa 1950s-1980s. Featuring most notably the limited edition ”Antagonists” series double-sided jugs: George Washington/King George III and Custer/Sitting Bull. Other characters present include Neptune, The Poacher, The Falconer, Robinson Crusoe, Aramis, The Fireman, and the vibrantly colored Clown. Each piece is characterized by its ”head and shoulders” modeling and unique thematic handles, a hallmark of Royal Doulton's mid-century craftsmanship.
