The bird is intricately detailed with overlapping coin-patterned feathers on its wings and sits atop numerous ”wealth eggs, ” representing the hatching of new opportunities. Etched on its side are the auspicious Chinese characters ”Daji Dali, ” a common New Year's blessing that translates to ”Great Good Luck and Great Prosperity”. Underside marked with character seal.
