L & F Moreau Brothers Belle Epoque Bronze Vase - Item/Description: Art Nouveau baluster vase, constructed from patinated copper with a heavy, naturalistic relief. Circa 1895-1905. Piece features high-relief, sinuous pavots (poppy) branches that organically wrap around the shoulders to form the primary handles. Surface exhibits a rich, dark bronzed chemical patina typical of high-end Parisian metalwork from the Belle Epoque. Signed ”L & F Moreau”, referring to the collaboration between the famous French brothers Louis Auguste Moreau and Hippolyte Francois Moreau, who were renowned for their bronze sculptures and decorative art during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
