Mexican Carved Stone & Silver Cocktail Serving Set - Item/Description: An eclectic 14-piece mid-century Mexican cocktail and hors d'oeuvres serving set crafted from silver and semi-precious stones. The set includes an 800 silver primary bar knife and two 800 silver souvenir spoons featuring Aztec calendar medallions. The four longer two-tine appetizer forks are marked 925 silver. The remaining two-tine appetizer forks are unmarked and do not test as silver. Each piece is mounted with hand-carved semi-precious stone handles, primarily malachite, depicting stylized Mayan and Aztec totem heads. A classic example of mid-century ”Tiki-era” Mexican folk art and tourism silver. Circa 1950. Markings include: 925, 800 and Mexico.
