19th C. Russian Copper Loving / Washing Cup - Item/Description: Antique copper three-handled Loving Cup (also known as a Judaica ritual washing cup or Laver cup). Russian Imperial Eagle mark on the base. Cyrillic inscription translates to ”Factory in Moscow.” Cup features thick copper rivets securing the loop handles. The presence of uneven, handmade rivets and a non-perfectly flat base are hallmarks of early, hand-crafted metalware. The five prominent copper rivets surrounding the central stamp are typical for attaching the heavy base to the body of these utilitarian vessels.
