Antique Chinese Traveling Chopstick & Knife Set - Item/Description: Antique Chinese traveling trousse eating set. Late Qing to early Republic era, late 19th to early 20th century. Comprising a fixed-blade steel knife with a wooden and a pair of bone chopsticks. Housed in a dark hardwood scabbard decorated with elaborate repousse brass mounts depicting dragon and floral motifs. Sets were designed for personal use during travel and reflect a period when it was customary to carry one's own utensils.
