Kate Dismounts Signed Sioux Pottery Vase - Item/Description: Vintage Sioux Native American pottery vase hand-signed by Kate Dismounts. Hand-thrown earthenware bud vase featuring a high-gloss, mahogany-brown glaze. Bulbous body is decorated with a matte tan horizontal band featuring hand-incised, traditional geometric Native American sgraffito designs. Base is hand-signed by the noted Lakota Sioux artisan Kate Dismounts (Katherine Dismounts Thrice, 1931-1986). Also marked ”SP - RC, SD” for Sioux Pottery, Rapid City, South Dakota. An authentic mid-century example of Sioux craftsmanship from a well-documented regional potter.
