British Air Ministry 1936 Brass Scramble Bell - Item/Description: Vintage WWII era British Air Ministry scramble bell. Etched with crown crest and 'A.M. 1836'. Originally read 1936. Bells of this type were used at Royal Air Force (RAF) airfields during the Battle of Britain and throughout World War II to signal pilots to their aircraft to intercept incoming enemy raids.
