1916 WWI Era Waltham Trench Watch - Item/Description: American Waltham Watch Company trench watch, from the World War I era. Features a white enamel dial with large numerals and a sub-second dial at the 6 o'clock position. Fixed wire lugs for a strap (not included) and an offset crown. Serial Number 2058557. These watches were worn by soldiers in the trenches, as warfare made reaching for a pocket watch difficult. Material: Metal Dimensions: Case diameter: 1 1/4”; Case thickness: 3/8”. Condition: Being sold as-is for parts or repair. Mot working; does not wind. Crown may not be original. Signs of age and wear include surface scratches and oxidation.
