German WWII K98 Combat Bayonet - Item/Description: German Seitengewehr 84/98 III bayonet, commonly referred to as the K98 bayonet, which was issued for use with the Karabiner 98k rifle during World War II. Marked at Ricasso to one side: E. u. F. Horster. Other side and scabbard marked with serial number: 8019 c. Manufactured by E. u. F. Horster (E. & F. Horster & Stahlwarenfabrik) was based in Solingen, Germany—the famous ”City of Blades”. They were one of the largest and most prominent suppliers of edged weapons to the German military before and during World War II.
