Deknatel Cast Metal Desk Box - Item/Description: Edwardian-era desk accessory featuring a heavy, cast metal body with its original textured fiber board backing. 1910 copyright stamp by noted maker F.N. Deknatel. Underside is stamped with an overlapping retailer ink mark for T&C Chicago and F.R. & Co. New York, indicating its distribution through high-end commercial stationery networks of the early 20th century. Organic, flowing lines of the late Art Nouveau movement, utilizing a bronzed or gilt wash finish over a durable base metal casting.
