Blenko John Nickerson Amberina & Blue Glass Vases - Item/Description: Pair of Mid-Century Modern hand-blown art glass apothecary jars/ vases manufactured by the Blenko Glass Company, model No. 7328, designed by renowned artist John Nickerson. Lot includes one vibrant cobalt blue vessel and one striking orange-to-yellow ”Amberina” tangerine ombre vessel. Vases showcase iconic biomorphic styling with a wide bulbous body, flared lip, and heavy fire-polished pontil base rings. This model was first introduced in the 1973 Blenko factory catalog, and ran for a brief 2 year production period. The Blenko Glass Company is a family-owned, historic manufacturer in Milton, West Virginia, celebrated globally for its vibrant, hand-blown art glass, colorful functional tableware, and iconic water bottles.
