Blenko Hand-Blown Glass Top Hat Vase - Item/Description: American mid-century art glass vessel shaped in the form of a classic gentleman's figural top hat. Hand-blown from thick, heavy, clear glass, the piece features an undulating brim and a cylindrical crown with an open top. Produced by the Blenko Glass Company of Milton, West Virginia, this form was used as a novelty vase, ice bucket, candy dish, or bottle chiller. Underside features a faint oval pontil scar from the glassblowing process.
