1976 Grateful Dead - Rick Griffin Aoxomoxoa Poster - Item/Description: 1976 London Roundhouse Exhibition European Limited Edition No. 1135. Vintage concert poster for the Grateful Dead, Sons of Champlin, and Initial Shock at San Francisco's Avalon Ballroom. Designed by the legendary psychedelic artist Rick Griffin for a series of shows from January 24-26, 1969, this exact artwork was famously adapted a few months later as the album cover for the Grateful Dead's third studio album, Aoxomoxoa. 1976 London Roundhouse Exhibition. In the summer of 1976, psychedelic artist Rick Griffin held a major retrospective gallery exhibition of his work at the iconic Roundhouse in Camden Town, London. For this event, he brought his four original printing plates from California, including Aoxomoxoa. He teamed up with publishers Alcock & Dicks Trading Co. to produce a high-quality, official run of exactly 3,000 numbered prints per plate, using premium heavy inks and high-grade paper.
