Stallion is in a standing pose mounted to a multi-tiered ebonized base, which features an incised inscription reading ”War Admiral Kentucky Derby Winner 1937”. War Admiral won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes in May of 1937, and then won at the Belmont Stakes in June of 1937, sealing the Triple Crown.
