Aztec Style Black Obsidian Monkey Vessel Replica - Item/Description: Pre-Columbian Aztec obsidian monkey jar replica modeled after a famous archaeological piece found in Texcoco, ”Mono de Obsidiana”. The original artifact is carved from a single piece of volcanic glass and stands as a major treasure in Mexico City's Museo Nacional de Antropologia. The anthropomorphic design features a stylized monkey holding its tail over its rim, with a highly polished volcanic glass finish contrasted by matte, textured details on the face, ears, and hands.
