Indigenous American Art Pottery Grouping, Dine - Item/Description: Diverse four-piece collection of a variety of traditional and contemporary indigenous ceramic traditions from North and South America. Includes a large double-spouted stirrup vessel adorned with hand-painted polychrome bird motifs, reflecting Peruvian or pre-Columbian Nazca/Moche artistic traditions. The accompanying smaller vessels include a low white-clay bowl with geometric stepped layout designs characteristic of Hopi-Tewa polychrome pottery, a small reddish seed pot with a wave-pattern collar, and a miniature buff-clay pot decorated with stylized Kokopelli. Includes signed geometric Navajo (Dine) studio pot by the Hathale family. The Hathale family of Dine originates from the northern part of the Navajo Nation reservation, specifically the area around Tes Nez Iah and Tonalea in northern Arizona.
