Antique Beaux-Arts Architectural Frieze Fragments - Item/Description: Architectural salvage pieces from the old Carnegie Hall in New York City. Three unglazed New York City Victorian architectural salvage blocks mold-formed from heavy fired terracotta clay during the peak of the American Renaissance and Beaux-Arts building movements. Features a prominent central cornerstone blocks sculpted with an alto-relievo ram's head backed by flourishing acanthus leaves, with companion horizontal frieze molding borders carrying classical continuous guilloche patterns embedded with floral rosettes. Engineered by premium industrial terra cotta foundries to adorn the upper cornices of historic masonry banks, libraries, or municipal skyscrapers, with the middle fragment dramatically showing the exposed internal hollow webbing, mortar remnants, and embedded brick shards typical of early 20th-century building facades.
