Seth Thomas Brass ”Sonora Chime” Mantel Clock - Item/Description: Antique early 20th-century American arch-top mantel clock manufactured by the renowned Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Connecticut, from the early 1900s. Heavy casing constructed from solid spun and cast brass, featuring a classic Neoclassical arch-top silhouette on an integral, stepped rectangular base bar supported by tiny bun feet. Display features stylized Arabic numerals, an integrated fast/slow regulating arbor near the 12 o'clock mark, and multiple winding arbors operating an 8-day mechanical movement originally engineered to strike a highly melodic chime arrangement over Sonora chime resonators.
