Austrian Jugendstil Enameled Trumpet Vase Lamp - Lamp Item/Description: An antique tabletop lamp base styled in the Austrian Jugendstil manner, featuring an elongated glass baluster body that flares dramatically into a wide trumpet mouth. Exterior glass is heavily overlaid in a polished gold ground accented with hand-painted dark green foliate enameling. Mounted upon a gold-painted cast spelter tripod base molded with organic acanthus leaf supports, housing an internal central hollow tube wired with an early Leviton switch assembly to the underside cavity. Material: Mixed, Glass, Metal Dimensions: Diameter: 6”; Height: 14 1/2” Condition: Signs of age, use, and wear include surface wear, prominent vertical hairline cracks, and rubbing to the gilded finish.
