Mother & Child Expressionist Studio Pottery - Item/Description: Vintage mid-century modern studio art pottery figural sculpture, handcrafted by an independent expressionist artisan. Intimate composition portrays a seated mother hunched tenderly over a swaddled infant cradled in her lap, formed from heavy, earthenware clay. Finished in a glossy, high-fired amber-brown and ochre drip glaze that has naturalistically pooled across the irregular, organically shaped slab base plate.
