Zhitomir – Nishmat Adam by the holy R. Aharon Shmuel of Kremenets – Zhitomir 1863 – printed by the Shapira brothers, the grandsons of R. Pinchas of Koretz. - Brought to print in Zhitomir in 1863 immediately after the printing of the sacred work Ohev Yisrael, by his grandson, the R“MZ of Zinkov. The holy Rebbe R. Yitzchak of Neshchiz said when the book was published: “When the Ohev Yisrael was printed, the Nishmat Adam was printed together with it, and our master greatly praised it, for it is good!” (Zikaron Tov, p. 7) Rabbi Aharon Shmuel of Kremenets, companion-disciple of R. Shlomo Ephraim Luntschitz, author of the Kli Yakar and Olelot Ephraim, served as rabbi of Fürth in 1607, afterward served in the rabbinate of Eibelstadt, and from there rose to the rabbinate of Fulda, being regarded among the great halachic authorities of Ashkenaz, and there he passed away in 1616. His book Nishmat Adam was composed in Eibelstadt in 1611, with the enthusiastic approbation of the Shelah haKadosh and Rabbi Eliyahu Baal Shem.
