Rokeach ha-Gadol, the renowned work of Rabbi Eliezer of Garmiza, called after this work “the Baal haRokeach.” Sefer ha-Rokeach is a halakhic work that includes halakhic rulings and customs with their reasons according to the tradition of the Tosafists. This work contains dialectics together with concise halakhic conclusions, and it also includes passages of moral instruction, Kabbalah, and numerous gematriot. In a terse style, the book contains all the statutes practiced and necessary for a person throughout all the days of the year, and includes the laws of festivals and repentance, prayer and blessings, marriage, prohibition and permission, and more. Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech of Dinov in his Bnei Yissaschar on the month of Kislev frequently emphasizes that all the words of the Rokeach were spoken by Eliahu haNavi. This copy is an important and rare Hasidic edition — the Slavin press in Kapust was a small printing house that printed books in small quantities, and complete copies from this press are rare. 35 leaves, 17 cm
