Taharat Yisrael by the Chafetz Chaim – Piotrkow, 1924 - With the signature of the grandson of the Divrey Chayim of Tzanz, son of the Rebbe of Gorlitz, and stepson of the Rebbe the Sefas Emes of Gur. - The sefer Taharat Yisrael… “the great reward for women who are careful with the purity of Israel”… including several essential laws on these matters By our master Rabbi Yisrael Meir HaKohen, author of the Chafetz Chaim With Yiddish translation Piotrkow, 1924 Details: 45 pages, 23 cm Ownership: Owner’s signature: ” חנני השי”ת בזה שלום מנחם חאדאראב מפ”ק גור ” Rabbi Shalom Menachem Chodorov was the grandson of the Rebbe Rabbi Baruch of Gorlitz, son of the Divrei Chaim of Tzanz, and was raised in the home of his stepfather,   the Sefas Emes of Gur. His father was Rabbi Pinchas, Av Beit Din of Mezbia, son of Rabbi Yehoshua Elazar Chodorov of Kolomyia, who was the son-in-law of Rabbi Baruch of Gorlitz, son of the Divrei Chaim of Tzanz. He passed away young, and his widow, the rebbetzin Reizel, married the Sefas Emes of Gur, and continued to reside in Gur even after his passing. A wondrous story about the illness of the child Shalom Menachem while he was still young in Tzanz, and his miraculous healing through the handkerchief of the Divrei Chaim, is told by the attendant of the Divrei Chaim, Rabbi Rafael Tzimetboim, in his sefer Darkei Chaim, and a photograph of the story is included here. Later, Rabbi Shalom Menachem lived in Tarnow. His son, Rabbi Pinchas, possessed a manuscript on the Torah by the holy Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz, copied from the manuscript that had been in the library of the Imrei Emes of Gur. Before he perished, he entrusted it as a deposit to a non-Jew In the letter accompanying the manuscript bundle, Rabbi Pinchas writes on the 16th of Marcheshvan, 1943: ' הכתבים הללו שכרך אחר מהם הם חידושים מאא”ז גדול מרבן שמו מהר”ר פינחס מקאריץ זצק”ל מתלמידי הבעש”ט הם אקסמפלר יחידי בעולם אשר העתק אחד מהמה היה בבית אוצר הספרים של דודי וחמי הרה”ק אדמו”ר מגור שליט”א, אבל גם בהמה לא ידעתי מה הגיע למו מחלאות המלחמה, ויש בהם אוצר בלום של פרי מחשבות קודש לא יערכם כל שווי, גמרתי בדעתי ליתן את הכתבים הללו אשר יקרו לי מעל כל הון לאחד ממכירי הנכרים אשר יטמינם עד אשר ישוב הקב”ה שבות עמו כבראשונה. עיני צופיות למרום כי יגזור עלי העליון לחיים ואזכה עודנה בעצמי להוציאם לאור מתוך פדות ורווחה. ואם ח”ו עקבותי עדי זמן לא יוודעו, אבקש למי שיגיע המכתב הזה לידו שידע נאמנה כי מן השמים זיכוהו באוצר קדוש כזה למען יברר מקחו של צדיק קדוש העולמים מהר”פ מקאריץ נבג”מ אשר כמטמונים יחפשוהו, וכפי פרושות בתפילה לנורא עלילה שיזכני לראות בנחמת עמו המדוכא והמעונה ואזכה לראות בשוב ה' ציון' Based upon this manuscript, the sefer Imrei Pinchas was published for the first time in Tel-Aviv, 1970
