A double Segulah from the great miracle worker in Poland, Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh of Radzymin, disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin and the Maggid of Kozhnitz, and among the greatest disciples of Pshischa This lot includes:  His book Bikkurei Aviv in an elegant leather binding - containing a manuscript leaf from his original handwriting, known as a segulah, and an amulet bearing the sacred Names, about which the Radziminer Rebbe testified that it had served Moshe Rabeynu, and he promised: “And whoever carries it with him will never be harmed”. The “Sabba Kadisha” of Radzymin: In Polish Hasidism in general, and in the study hall of Pshischa in particular, no importance was ascribed to miracles and wonders, and they taught that one does not travel to a Rebbe so that he be for us a “worker of salvations.” For every rule there is an exception. And the exception among the great disciples of Pshischa, who in his later years was even considered among the “remnants of the Men of the Great Assembly, ” as he outlived his colleagues, was the “Sabba Kadisha” of Radzymin, the holy gaon Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh. Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh Guterman was born in the town of Warka in 1792. He yet studied under the Maggid of Kozhnitz, the Chozeh of Lublin, and the author of Kedushat Levi of Berditchev, and became one of the lions of the sacred fellowship that gathered around the Yid Hakadosh of Pshischa and his disciple Reb Bunim. The Maggid of Kozhnitz attended his wedding, calling him “mein Yankele, ” and even granted him as a gift one tractate from his own Talmud. Despite his close friendship with the Rebbe of Kotzk and the Chiddushei HaRim, upon the passing of Reb Bunim he joined his friend the holy rabbi Rabbi Yitzchak of Warka, and they crowned the son of Reb Bunim, R. Avraham Moshe. But the latter did not live long, and upon his passing he became the disciple of his friend. R. Yitzchak of Warka. With the passing of the Rebbe of Warka he was crowned as Rebbe, and in the following years he was considered the elder Tzadik of the generation, revered by all the great tzaddikim of his time, and became renowned among the masses as a worker of salvations. His friends from Pshischa still remembered how R. Bunim expressed himself that the Holy One, blessed be He, listens to all his requests. The Chiddushei HaRim, head of the Pshischa faction who traveled to Kotzk, revered him and maintained a firm friendship. Upon the wedding of the son of the Chiddushei HaRim, he signed the invitation he sent to the Rebbe of Radzymin with his own name and his mother’s name, for a blessing. He would also send to him Hasidim in need of salvation in matters of healing or children. Once he expressed himself: “In Pshischa one could easily attain spiritual levels; Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh  took upon himself the working of wonders.” When the rebbetzin of the Chiddushei HaRim fell ill, he turned by letter to his friend Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh and asked that he pray for her, and even sought his counsel whether to engage physicians, or to trust in God and in the prayer of the righteous without effort on his own part. Two of the greatest Chassidic leaders of our generation are among his descendants and bear his name, namely the Rebbes of Gur and Amshinov. The segulot of the “Sabba Kadisha”: Even after his passing, his burial place became renowned as a place of segulah, and many streamed there to be remembered for salvation. In recent years as well, after the original tombstone was found and the ohel was rebuilt, many who visited the holy resting place have seen Yeshuot. The holy rabbi of Radzymin was also known for the segulot and amulets he distributed. At the beginning of the book Bikkurei Aviv, the publisher, his grandson R. Yechiel of Lomazh, writes that he possesses pages of manuscript in which his holy grandfather recorded his segulot, and from them he copied “the Name that served Moshe Rabeynu and whoever carries it with him will never be harmed”!! A surprising testimony was heard from the mouth of the Rebbe of Strikov, of blessed memory. The Rebbe of Strikov was a distinguished disciple of R. Yitzchak Ze’ev Soloveutchik, the rabbi of Brisk. The Rebbe of Strikov related that in the days of terror in Poland, at the beginning of the Second World War, when the rabbi of Brisk was in Poland, far from his family in Brisk, he carried upon himself an amulet with the sacred Name that the  “Sabba Kadisha” revealed as a segulah to be saved from every trouble (from the testimony of the attendant, R.
