At the conclusion of the volume, in responsum no. 12, the author recounts at length his journey to Italy: “לשאלת רבים וטובים... להודיעם מנסיעתי לרומא רבתא, ומהם שאלו על כלי המקדש...”. Dedication On the flyleaf appears the dedication of the author’s son, Rabbi Ze’ev Tzvi Vorhand, Av Beit Din of Prague, who later served as Rosh Yeshivah of Heichal Moshe in New York. The author: The gaon Rabbi Mordekhai Vorhand, Av Beit Din of Nitra (1887–1944), son of the gaon Rabbi Moshe Vorhand, Av Beit Din of Makova, was a disciple of the gaon Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch, author of Kedushat Yom Tov and Arugat ha-Bosem. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yehudah Lichtenstein, Av Beit Din of Betlan, whose court he served as dayan. After his father moved from Nitra to Makova, Rabbi Mordekhai succeeded him in Nitra.
