Beirech Yitzchak, by R. Yitzchak Beracha of Aleppo – Venice, 1763. First edition – copy of distinguished provenance - Beirech Yitzchak Venice, 1763 Unique edition Copy with the signature and stamp of Rabbi Aharon Barazani, one of the sages of Iraq, with additional signatures. The sefer Beirech Yitzchak, homiletic discourses on the weekly Torah portions, by Rabbi Yitzchak Beracha, Venice, 1763, unique edition. It was authored by Rabbi Yitzchak Beracha of Aram Tzovah – Aleppo, Syria (he passed away in 1772). He served as a judge in Aleppo and maintained a close relationship with the great Sephardic rabbis there, such as Chacham Yehudah Katzin and Chacham Yeshayahu Dabach. This work contains wondrous insights blending halacha, derash, pilpul, ethics, and aggadah, with extensive mastery of the writings of the earlier and later halachic authorities. He was the teacher of Rabbi Avraham Sathon, author of Milel LeAvraham. At the beginning of the introduction appears his ornate handwritten signature [קניתיו לעבודת קוני בשלשה גרושים, אהרן ברזאני ס”ט] and his stamp אהרן בזרני כמוהר”ר דוד זצ”ל Another ornate rabbinic Eastern signature appears, unidentified Additional signatures: ”אני הצעיר וזעיר שבתי די לשבונה” ”שלמה בן...” R. Aharon Barazani was among the sages of Iraq. The Barazani family is well known for its renowned rabbis from as early as the sixteenth century in Iraq and Kurdistan.
