First Edition, Published Anonymously – Extremely Rare! - Romemot Israel, which speaks of the greatness of the soul, by the holy Rabbi Moshe son of Rabbi Chaim Wortman. Zolkiew 1848 – first edition. Printed anonymously by its author! The holy Rabbi Moshe son of Rabbi Chaim Wortman, known as R’ Moshe Kuznitzer, was a disciple of the R. Yerachmiel Meir of Peshischa and the Seraph of Mogielnica. He engaged extensively in composing and publishing books in order to bring merit to the public, at times without the author’s name. In his final years he ascended to the Land of Israel, passed away in Jerusalem on Rosh Chodesh Iyar 1874, and rests with honor on the Mount of Olives. In recent years a new edition was published with the blessing of the Rebbe of Boyan, may he live, who extolled the greatness of the book which awakens a person to love of Israel, and testified that it is “filled and brimming with the subject of love of Israel, collected from the words of the ancients, the early ones as angels, who arouse the human heart to this good trait which is a great principle in the Torah, and through this a person also merits the love of the Almighty and cleaving to Him and to His Torah and His commandments.” This copy was brought to print by the author himself – and anonymously.
