At the beginning of the book is printed an introduction by the author’s sons. Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Teitelbaum of Sighet, author of Atzei Chaim (1880 – 1925), was born to his father the author of Kedushat Yom Tov, son of the Yitev Lev. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Shalom Eliezer Halberstam of Ratzfert, son of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz. He was an eminent disciple of the tzaddikim of the generation: his father, the Rav of Shinova, the Rav of Gorlice, and the Mahari of Belz. Tzaddikim spoke of his holiness and his greatness in Torah and avodah, and multitudes were drawn to the light of his sacred service, his Torah, and his prayers. [2], 127; [1], 54 leaves.
