The serene, frontal gaze of the Savior, together with the delicate treatment of his facial features, convey solemnity and recollection. The neutral background and directed lighting enhance the symbolic presence of Christ's body and blood. Signed in the lower corner, the painting reflects the devotional iconographic models of the 19th century, characterized by their compositional clarity, idealized naturalism, and strong theological content.
