Magnificent pair of Japanese porcelain vases in vibrant turquoise blue glaze with applied relief decoration of dragons among clouds and waves. The highly dynamic dragon figures wrap around the globular body of the pieces, standing out for their detailed modeling of scales, claws, and manes, which lends a remarkable three-dimensionality. The composition is enriched with a pattern of golden scales in the background, creating a contrast between the shiny surface and the opaque textures.
