Landscape. Signed J. Maldonado. Spanish School. 19th Century - Oil on canvas. A broad river panorama unfolds in this composition that combines urban and natural elements in a harmonious balance. On the right bank, a thick forest of leafy trees merges with the rocky foreground where two figures are fishing, while in the background rises a monumental silhouette that seems to correspond to a cathedral, identifiable with the Giralda. The golden light of sunset floods the scene with a lyrical atmosphere, reflected in the calm waters of the river. The brushstrokes are meticulous and detailed, especially in the constructions and the treatment of the treetops. The chromaticism unfolds in deep greens, soft blues, and warm twilight yellows. This work is framed within nineteenth-century Romantic landscape painting, with a marked influence from Spanish painting of urban and historical views. Signed 'J. Maldonado'. 82 x 60 cm
