Carla Accardi (Trapani, 1924 – Rome, 2014) was one of the greatest exponents of Italian abstractionism and a founding member of the avant-garde group ”Forma 1”. Her work is characterized by constant experimentation with innovative shapes, colors, and materials. In this 2012 piece, Accardi uses cardboard cutouts superimposed on plexiglass, creating compositions of strong visual impact and optical effects. Throughout her career, she evolved from black and white abstraction to the bold use of color and light, consolidating her own internationally recognized language. Located in international warehouse.
