This extraordinary contemporary work by Piero Gilardi, created at the beginning of the 21st century and part of the ”Nature Carpets” series. This series is composed of unique polyurethane foam creations that realistically reproduce natural settings such as orchards and gardens. With an ironic and critical approach, Gilardi draws inspiration from American Pop Art (especially Claes Oldenburg) to address ecological themes and denounce the transformation of nature into an artificial and sterile reality due to human intervention. The sculpture is signed on the back and is presented in a plexiglass box.
